Janice McGrath Hall received her degrees in economics and government and taught eight years on the secondary level. She co-founded the tax firm with her husband, Bob, out of a desire to serve the local community. Janice helped hundreds of clients over the years increase their personal financial situation as a tax consultant for the firm. In 2006 Janice resigned from working with clients due to health issues. However, her health issues did not stop her from benefiting the community in other ways. Currently, Janice Hall is a Dame Commander in the Order of Saint John, a major humanitarian charity whose mission is to improve the human condition. However, the primary focus of her philanthropic work focuses on the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. She speaks to groups throughout California on the need for clinical trial research and has led numerous campaigns to raise money for cancer research. One such campaign raised money for a Biospecimen Laboratory at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. This much-needed laboratory serves to collect specimens from cancer patients in order to determine the best course of treatment.
